Beta/Gamma Dose Rate Monitor

Developed in partnership with AWE, the GMS595β is a versatile beta/gamma dose rate monitor designed for reliable field use. A removable end cap enables both ambient gamma-only and combined beta/gamma measurements, while a recessed, field-replaceable foil window minimises the risk of damage and simplifies maintenance. Offering accurate dose-rate measurement from nSv/hr to Sv/hr, the GMS595β is simple to operate, quick to deploy, and environmentally stable.

Measurement Flexibility

The GMS595β is designed to provide flexible and practical measurement capability in a single instrument. With the protective end cap fitted, the monitor measures ambient dose equivalent H*(10) for accurate gamma assessment. Removing the cap enables combined beta and gamma detection, allowing users to capture additional shallow dose information when required. This simple, tool-free configuration gives users greater control over their measurements, making the instrument adaptable to a wide range of monitoring applications.

Design & Durability

The recessed foil window is designed to reduce the risk of accidental damage during handling and deployment. If replacement is required, the window can be quickly changed in the field by simply unscrewing and fitting a new one, minimising downtime and maintenance effort.
