CE Qualification
All JCS products are CE tested, certified compliant with all CE mark requirements, and thereby qualified to be sold in the European Union.
The CE mark will remain relevant to both the UK & EU markets until 1 January 2022, when the qualification for selling our instruments in the UK market will change to UKCA mark.
For products placed onto the European Market we have an Authorised Representative (EU)2019/1020: please contact us directly for product specific information.
JOSCAR
John Caunt Scientific Ltd has satisfied all the requirements to become fully registered on the JOSCAR supplier accreditation register, as set out by participating organisations.
WEEE Certification
The UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations require companies to take responsibility for reducing the environmental impact of electrical items they place on the UK market.
Reducing the environmental impact of our activities is crucial to JCS and along with our environmental policy, monitoring and taking responsibility for the amount of EEE we put on the market is paramount.
Standards & Certification that JCS is working towards
UKCA Qualification
As part of the UK transition out of the EU, from the 1st of January 2021, the UK is adopting a new UKCA standard to replace the CE mark in product conformity.
This UKCA standard will broadly align with all standards of the CE mark and will become a legal requirement for UK products sold in the UK from the 1st January 2022.
JCS will be incorporating the UKCA standard in our own product compliance and certification throughout 2021.
The CE mark on our existing products remains a valid EU standard.
